On 22nd March 2016 high class robotic arm LWA 4P 6KG 6DOF from company SCHUNK was lent to National Centre of Robotics. It is a robotic arm with six degrees of freedom, which weight is 12 kg and with payload 6 kg. It is powered by 24 V and each joint has 2 DOF, which makes this kinematic structure very unique. Workstation was delivered by head of the company SCHUNK Intech s.r.o. Ing. František Jantoška. Recipient was represented by a dean of FEI STU prof. Dr. Ing. Miloš Oravec. This workplace will be used in the research of automated assembly, precisse and adaptive manipulation with various objects.
