On November 17, the SAHARRA team, under the patronage of the National Centre of Robotics, presented the results of their project as part of this year’s edition of the KUKA Innovation Awards. The jury evaluated five finalists from the whole world (USA, China, Italy, Germany, and Slovakia) and it consisted of such aces of world robotics as Prof. Dr. Oussama Khatib, Prof. Dr. Alin Albu-Schäffer, Prof. Dr. Ir. Stefano Stramigioli and Prof. Dr. Tobias Ortmaier. Members of the jury were also Dr. Rainer Bischoff (Director of Research at KUKA) and Erico Guizzo (IEEE Spectrum Magazine). The winning team is from Italy, but the SAHARRA team consisting of František Okál, František Duchoň, Ľuboš Chovanec, Martin Dekan, Martin Lučan, and Daniel Zach can be proud of their work in this world competition.
